Thank you for awarding me this scholarship. I am an honored recipient and have used these funds to help with the cost of textbooks and homework platform subscriptions. I attend LSU and am majoring in biochemistry. As I head into my spring semester, I hope this finds you well.

Thanks to the Donald Brown educational foundation more than half of my tuition expenses were paid for. I appreciate this program for allowing me to advance in my career goals.

I am reaching out to update you of my first semester! I have had so much fun and have loved college so far! I got involved Greek life and have enjoyed volunteering for our philanthropy, The Ronald McDonald House. I have also managed to keep above a 3.0 GPA and now have completed a total of 45 credit hours! Thank you again so much for your financial support, I would not be where I am without you!

I was one of the recipients of the Donald Brown Educational Foundation scholarship. As I have just wrapped up my first semester at Nicholls State University, I would like to reflect on how your scholarship funds have assisted me. This past semester, fees and textbook costs were two things I was most definitely worried about paying for. With your scholarship funds, I was able to cover some of my fees for the semester. I was also able to purchase the colonel book bundle, which allowed me to get all of my textbooks that I needed for my classes. Not only did your scholarship funds help me pay for my first semester at Nicholls, but it also made the financial burden of college a lot easier for me. Because of your kindness and generosity, my transition to college was made a lot easier. I was able to enjoy my semester more, rather than worrying about how I was going to pay for everything. I also was able to focus on my studies, so much so, that I finished with all “A”s this semester! Once again, I’d like to thank you for choosing me as a recipient for this scholarship.
